Hazell Bros is a family-owned and operated Australian business with operations in Tasmania, South Australia, and Queensland. We have been servicing the public and private sectors for 80 years.
Our core business functions are Civil Construction, Quarries, Concrete, and Asset and Logistics Management. With a large privately owned fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment, plus extensive quarry and product interests, Hazell Bros enjoys a longstanding reputation for reliability in providing service solutions and the supply of quality products and materials.
Hazell Bros' culture has developed from its family ownership, and as such, the culture at Hazell Bros is grounded in family and community values. Many Hazell Bros employees have worked with three generations of the founding family and subsequently have developed strong ties to and care for the business and each other. These family values create a sense of ownership and belonging, and in a state like Tasmania, it is hard to find someone who hasn’t worked or knows somebody who has worked for the family.
Our work practices recognise that every family has its own challenges to deal with, and we provide support and flexibility to all employees, particularly in times of need so they can in turn support their families in all aspects of their lives and have a sustainable work-life balance.

Aside from Hydro Tasmania’s long-term schedule to refurbish and maintain their hydropower stations, they also stand ready to help make Tasmania the Battery of the Nation. Our plans to redevelop one of our oldest power stations, and to add pumped-hydro to our Tasmanian energy mix, there is plenty to do!”
We deliver practical outcomes to the transport, mining, civic & utilities, energy and industrial & manufacturing sectors.
