1. Find a course

2. Apply to study

Applying to study with us is simple and free. Whether you're interested in studying full-time, part-time or online, we offer flexible courses to suit your lifestyle and commitments.

How to apply

4. Get access to your university systems

Once you've accepted your offer to study with us, you'll have access to your University of Tasmania systems within 24 hours.

  • If you're new to the university, you will receive your new login details (via pop up and/or email to the address you applied with). You'll have access to the portal once you've accepted your offer to study with us.
  • If you’ve accepted an offer to study with us in the past, you will already have a university email address to log in with but you may need to reset your password.

Manage many aspects of study in your easy to use platform, including:

viewing your fees and printing an invoice,
accessing your exams timetable, and

MyLO

Your easy-to-use online study tool
You’ll find your unit outlines, assessment information, online tests, tutorial sign-ups, discussion boards, readings, lecture recordings, assessment results, and messages from your lecturers. To help you figure things out, a detailed tutorial will be available when you login.

5. Enrol in your units

Once you've accepted your offer, the next step is to enrol in your units. You can manage this in eStudent.

Attending an enrolment session is a great way to prepare for university. These help you with the administrative parts of studying, including enrolling in units, finding your timetable, understanding fees, and learning about the online systems you'll use.

6. Attend Orientation

Orientation is a key part of starting your journey at university. Running the week before classes commence, you’ll connect with other students, explore your new learning environments, and learn about all the support services available to you.

We also offer UniStart - an online program that helps you develop the skills to succeed at university. These include critical thinking, research, and assignment writing. We'll also teach you to get more out of lectures, tutorials and online learning.
