You can donate to a project or fund by completing a secure online donation form, which can be accessed via the button below.

You can post a completed Donation Form (PDF 131 KB), with your credit card details, or a cheque made payable to 'The University of Tasmania'. The form includes a space to indicate the project or fund you would like your gift directed to.

You can set up a direct debit from your bank account to the University of Tasmania. Simply print and complete the Direct Debit Donation Form (PDF 120 KB) and then post or email back to us.

Leaving a gift in your Will, or a bequest, to the University of Tasmania is a significant way to make an enduring contribution to the community. Your help can develop study and research in an area which is important to you. Your generosity will make students' lives easier and help advance Tasmania.

There are several options to consider when making a bequest including: a gift of money; property; land; shares; artwork or other item of value; or a residual bequest.

The University of Tasmania recommends you seek legal advice when drafting your Will.

Workplace Giving allows employees to make regular charitable donations to University of Tasmania projects or to eligible designated charities through fortnightly payroll.

Supporting the University of Tasmania

Gifts from our staff are extremely valued as they demonstrate a belief in the mission of the University. Through the Workplace Giving program you can support different projects across the University such as scholarships, research, infrastructure or other projects of your choice. Donations of $2 or more to the University are tax deductible and 100% of your donation goes to support your area of choice – none of your gift is spent on administration costs.

Supporting other eligible charities

Staff can also support other eligible charities through Workplace Giving. Eligible organisations must be a deductible gift recipient (DGR). The University has agreed to adopt the list of charitable organisations on the Tasmania State Service Workplace Giving Scheme.

Foundation USA serves as the University of Tasmania's vehicle for philanthropy in the United States. Gifts made via Foundation USA are tax-deductible for U.S. tax payers. Gifts can be directed to any of our priority areas, as well as a Study Abroad Scholarship for U.S. students to experience the quality and richness of life at the University of Tasmania.
