About the program

Young Tassie Scientists are early career researchers and STEM professionals who are excited to share their work through interactive talks and hands-on activities as part of National Science Week celebrations. They help engage and inspire students to learn about science and science-related careers across a range of disciplines – and also provide teachers with the opportunity to build their knowledge of current research. Find out more about this year’s scientists and apply for a school visit on the Young Tassie Scientist website.

Applications for 2024 open from 29 May until 30 June. Schools which have applied will be contacted during July 2024 to confirm visits.
