About the research project

Background: As maritime transportation evolves towards increased automation, the importance of robust cybersecurity measures becomes paramount. Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) rely heavily on advanced technologies, making them vulnerable to cyber threats. Traditional cybersecurity training programs often fail to address the unique challenges faced by MASS operators. This project seeks to bridge this gap by developing specialised training materials that incorporate both expert knowledge and the practical needs of operators.

Objective: The primary objective of this project is to develop comprehensive cybersecurity training materials specifically for operators of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS). By integrating expert insights with the practical needs of operators, the project aims to enhance the cybersecurity of MASS, ensuring safe and secure maritime operations.

Expected Outcomes:
*A set of comprehensive, cybersecurity training materials for MASS operators.
*Enhanced awareness and preparedness among operators to address cybersecurity threats.
*Improved overall cybersecurity of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships.
