About Investigator Hall
Investigator Hall on our Newnham campus offers a blend of comfort and historical charm.
Named after HMS Investigator, the ship commanded by Matthew Flinders, who first circumnavigated Australia, the hall celebrates a significant achievement in exploration—an inspiring theme for your time at university.
Featuring single rooms, Investigator Hall provides private, comfortable living spaces alongside communal areas such as shared kitchens, common rooms, bathrooms and laundry.
Set on a scenic 50-hectare campus with stunning Tamar River views, it’s just a short drive from Launceston’s city center and within walking distance of local shops. Home to the Australian Maritime College, our Newnham campus continues to offer world leading maritime simulation and teaching facilities.
