In just our second year, the men finished Top 8 and the women finished Top 4 coming up against the winners of the last two national titles Latrobe Uni. All around the athletes report a great playing and travelling experience with the league, sanctioned by Basketball Australia, placed somewhere between Senior Basketball League and NBL1.
The pathway from school based athlete development to student athlete at the University of Tasmania has become clear and there are dozens of students taking that pathway to play for UTAS, coached by Swisherr, in the UBL.
