UniSport Nationals is Australia’s largest annual multi-sport event, drawing thousands of participants from 42 member universities to compete in a range of national standard sporting competitions.
The Nationals comprise the flagship event, UniSport Nationals, along with several standalone national championships held throughout the year, including the Indigenous Games.

The 2025 UniSport Nationals will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, where over 6,000 athletes from across Australia will compete for national titles in 31 different sports. This event, Australia’s largest annual university sporting competition, offers student-athletes the unique opportunity to represent their university at the national level while competing against the country’s best.

Standalone championship events are held throughout the year, often integrated into partner events or hosted by member universities. These championships offer student-athletes a chance to compete at a high level in a variety of sports, such as 3x3 basketball, athletics, cross country, distance running, surfing, swimming, T20 cricket, and triathlon.

The Indigenous Nationals is a week-long multi-sport competition designed specifically for Indigenous student-athletes from across Australia. This annual event provides a platform for athletes to come together and compete in a range of sports, with one university team ultimately being crowned the champion.
The event celebrates the vibrant sporting culture within Indigenous communities while also honouring the heritage and history of the participating athletes. It fosters unity, pride, and recognition of the significant contributions Indigenous Australians have made to sport and their cultural legacy nationwide.
