Interfacial Intimacies

Audio Descriptions have been created for each of the artworks in this exhibition. Audio Description video and audio are verbal descriptions of key visual elements in an artwork that contribute to the overall understanding of the artwork. Audio Descriptions were developed by Vitae Veritas and funded by the Visions of Australia touring grant.

4 Women - 4 Pathways

This exhibition completes the research project The woman artist in the communist regime in Romania, represented in the Tyler Collection for the inaugural Tyler Visiting Fellowship (2024).
Of the twenty-six Romanian artists represented in the Tyler Collection, only four are women.
4 Women / 4 Pathways celebrates their unique creativity, from the oppression of Ceacescu’s authoritarian regime, to the freedom of the post-1989 Revolution era.

Rex Greeno: Memories through Sea Stories

An exhibition of artworks by Tasmanian Aboriginal Elder, Rex Greeno, is currently on display at the Inveresk Library on levels 2 and 3. Rex worked as a commercial fisherman and helped revive the traditional practice of canoe making. Drawing from his cultural knowledge and connection to the sea, Rex captures his impressions of Ancestors, the impending disruption to the old way of life and family stories that reveal the blending of cultures.
