How do I book a class online? I am already a member
To book a class online, select your centre above. Use the email you provided us as your username. If you signed up at reception, your password will be ‘unigym’. If you signed up online, your password will be the one you created when you filled out your details. If you’d like to be redirected go to the Active Carrot login page.
I no longer want to do the class - what should I do?
You will be required to log back into your account on Active Carrot and cancel through the Group Fitness tab. If you did not book online, please see reception.
I’m new to group fitness classes, is there anything I need to do before joining a class?
We suggest arriving early and letting the instructor know that it is your first class. They will help you set up the appropriate equipment and inform you of any specific requirements. It's also important to ensure you’ve booked into your session, and bought a towel and drink bottle for the workout.
What type of group fitness classes are on offer at Unigym?

No, Unigym does not have a joining fee associated with their membership options, however if you do not currently own a Unigym Fob, you will be required to purchase one for $20.00 upon activating a membership.
Is the sports hall (basketball court) available? and can I book it online?

Can I make a squash court booking?
Hobart and Launceston Squash courts can be booked by calling reception.
Reciprocal rights
Hobart and Launceston Unigym members have full reciprocal rights within Hobart and Launceston centres.
Burnie Members can access Hobart and Launceston during staffed hours.
Memberships can be purchased online or at reception.
Cancellations
Direct debit memberships can be cancelled online
To cancel all other membership types, you will have to fill out a form. You can do it at reception or you can send us an email at hobart@unigym.utas.edu.au (Hobart) or launceston@unigym.utas.edu.au (Launceston/Burnie).
Please be aware that, as per terms and conditions, if you are on a fortnightly membership and you are cancelling within the first 12 months, a $35 cancellation fee is applicable and we need at least 4 days notice.
Suspensions
Direct debit memberships can be suspended online
To suspend all other membership types, you will have to fill out a form. You can do it at reception or you can send us an email at hobart@unigym.utas.edu.au (Hobart) or launceston@unigym.utas.edu.au (Launceston/Burnie).
Please be aware that you can only suspend your membership for 12 weeks per calendar year on fortnightly membership and 12 weeks per term of your membership if you are on a 12-month membership. There is a $10 fee for every time you suspend your membership.
Please ensure when using the gym, you place weights back after use. It's also important to ensure cleaning of any equipment used with the wipes provided. We also ask all members to adhere to the 1.5 metre physical distancing rule, and bring a towel to every workout. If you are feeling unwell, we encourage members to stay home until better.
Our Staff are on hand to help you with equipment questions if you require. We also have exercise demonstrations and workouts that can be found on our YouTube channel.
