Career opportunities

Being a teacher is more than just a job; it’s a vocation that allows you to leave a positive, enduring mark on the world. One of the greatest rewards of teaching is knowing that you are inspiring the future.

Education is crucial for personal growth and societal progress. It helps individuals develop the competencies to participate fully in society and the economy. A well-educated population is better equipped to drive innovation, economic growth, and social stability. Education promotes equality by providing opportunities for all, regardless of background or circumstances, to achieve their potential.

The influence of a great teacher can last a lifetime, shaping not only careers but also the values and perspectives of future generations.

While teaching can be demanding, it often provides a good work-life balance. This can allow for more time with family, pursuing hobbies, or continuing education, leading to a fulfilling and well-rounded life.

Educational leaders who are passionate about enhancing schools and creating outstanding learning environments make excellent candidates for leadership roles. Roles such as:

  • Lead Teachers | Collaborate with fellow teachers, the school administration, and parents to ensure a positive and productive experience for the entire school community.
  • Faculty/Department Coordinators | Manage a single department and set goals and standards for the faculty.
  • Year Group Coordinators | The roles are the link between school and home, supporting children and their families through difficult periods. Fundamentally, their role is to remove barriers for the most vulnerable children to enable them to access their education, without being disadvantaged to their peers.
  • Principals, Assistant Principals/Headteachers | The principal leads and manages the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students and they have a clear set of accountabilities. The assistant principal has a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas within the school. In exercising the responsibility, assistant principals will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program.
