Tasmania is home to more than 600 species of threatened plants and animals, including the iconic Tasmanian devil which has seen a huge decline in numbers as the result of contagious cancer.
A lesser-known species is the critically endangered Red Handfish, only found in Southern Tasmania waters.
Together we are addressing the challenges that face many of the wildlife that calls our island home. Some are at higher risk than others, but all play an important part in our delicate ecosystem.
