▶ A more equitable Tasmania
We believe university is for everyone. But, often, there are barriers that make it difficult for people to access education.
By 2050, 80% of our working age population will require a post-year-12 qualification to gain employment. But currently only 25% have one. And currently only 53% of Tasmanian students complete year 12, the second lowest rate of all states and territories.
To help our next generations to reach their full potential, we need to foster a sense of aspiration among all young Tasmanians and address the barriers preventing them from participating.
By supporting this area of impact, you can contribute to the scholarships, bursaries and financial assistance we provide to help students overcome financial barriers like accommodation costs and tuition fees. Or overcome social barriers with scholarships that specifically assist female and Indigenous students.
You can also support our Pathway Programs, which provide alternate entry pathways to university for people of all ages, who might not qualify for entry by traditional educational means.
We are striving for greater educational attainment in Tasmania by improving social inclusion and cultivating aspiration – and you can be part of the solution.
