The InVent team works alongside UTAS researchers to create spinouts underpinned by intellectual property. Recent incorporations include:
AirHealth Pty Ltd
After operating the AirRater (University of Tasmania) and Melbourne Pollen (University of Melbourne) apps separately for several years, the founders of AirHealth came together in 2022 to form a company and forge a common vision: to support healthier, longer lives through accessible, science-backed air quality and health information.
AirHealth’s suite of apps provides real-time air quality information (particularly on pollen and smoke) throughout Australia, enabling users to track symptoms, identify potential triggers and make informed choices. To date, AirHealth apps have been downloaded more than half a million times Australia-wide.
The founders include UTAS researchers Professor Fay Johnston, Dr Penelope Jones and Dr Grant Williamson.
