External scholarships

Once you have applied for University of Tasmania scholarships, remember to check out the external scholarships you may be eligible for.

The majority of the funding for our scholarships and bursaries is provided by donations through the University giving program. There are also scholarships offered by generous organisations outside the University. In some cases, you may receive both a University of Tasmania scholarship and an external scholarship.

Frequently asked questions

You will need to register for the scholarships portal even if you have applied through the UAC course application system. You can however use the same email address and password to register.

All documents must be PDFs.

  • If your document isn’t a PDF file (e.g. photo, Word doc), you will need to convert it. You can use UAC’s document conversion service – simply attach the document file to an email addressed to conv2pdf@uac.edu.au. For each attached file you’ll receive an email back with a converted PDF file. Note that UAC can't receive emails exceeding 11MB; if your attached documents are too big, you won't receive a response. There are also many document conversion packages available on the web.
  • Each PDF document must be smaller than 5MB. If your PDF document file size is bigger than 5MB, you’ll need to reduce it to upload your document. You may be able to do this by lowering the resolution of the PDF file and any images it contains.

By submitting this form, you consent to the University collecting, using, storing and disclosing your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Statements and in accordance with the University's Privacy Policy.
