We’ll teach you to respond to social justice and human rights challenges in ways that are culturally responsive, principled, and effective. Our courses focus on applied learning opportunities that include community, health, and human services agencies.

During your studies, you’ll develop advanced knowledge of social work research principles and methods. You’ll also participate in 1,000 hours of supervised professional experience placements, offering unique opportunities to learn about the practice of social work as a change agent, meet people currently working in the field, and build the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to make a difference.

Career opportunities

Social Workers support people to address challenges and improve their overall wellbeing. You could be working one-on-one offering direct counselling, helping families, facilitating rehabilitation groups, supporting community awareness, or advocating for policy changes.

Now is great time to study Social Work, with demand for social workers forecast to increase by 23% by 2026*, from 40,000 to almost 50,000 positons!

This demand is also driving great starting salaries. The 2022 Graduate Outcomes Survey reported that social work graduates achieved a median starting salary of $75,000, ranking third only behind doctors, and dentists.
