Engineer Watchkeeper, Class 2 and 1 Chief Engineer
This degree focuses on the operation and maintenance of shipboard marine engineering systems, preparing you for a career as a Certified Marine Engineer on commercial vessels. The curriculum covers marine engineering systems, vessel structure and operations, vessel management, marine legislation, marine survey, and safety.
It includes professional short courses and hands-on sea training. You'll earn a bachelor's degree and, subject to meeting requirements, an Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Certificate of Competency. The course complies with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 2010).

Deck Watchkeeper, Chief Mate/Master
This degree prepares you for a career as a Navigation Deck Officer, eventually leading to the rank of a ship's captain. You will learn skills to safely manage and operate any vessel in the merchant fleet, covering topics such as navigation, vessel handling and management, transport, marine legislation, and shipboard safety. The course also provides eligibility towards obtaining a Certificate of Competency issued by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).
