We want our University community to have a positive and safe experience with us. We encourage you to come forward with any complaints or disclosures; we will put you first and support you every step of the way.
If you come forward, you will be believed and supported. Our teams are comprised of experienced staff trained in confidentiality, trauma-informed support, and referrals.
Sexual assault, rape or sexual harassment
Any members of our University community, students and staff, can make a complaint or disclose an incident regarding sexual assault or harassment to our team who are specially trained in confidentiality, trauma-informed support, and referrals.
Report Sexual Assault or Sexual Harassment
Disclose an incident of harmful behaviour or make a complaint
You can disclose an incident, make a complaint, or just confidentially talk to someone about your experience regarding:
- Acts of racism, islamophobia or antisemitism
- Inappropriate behaviour
- Inappropriate service or experience relating to behaviour or conduct
- Concerns about student wellbeing or child safety
Make a Disclosure or Complaint
- Once your disclosure or complaint is received a trained support person will be in touch with you within 2 business days
- Our trained support team will step you through your options and provide the right support at the right time
- You have no obligation to follow through with the complaint and can withdraw from the process at any time

Safe and Fair Community Unit

Support resources
For emergencies, telephone the police, fire brigade and ambulance on 000 immediately. Campus Security is available day and night to deal with any security or safety concerns. Find out more about emergencies and security services.
The University provides counselling for students and staff
- Students can seek support from counsellors in Student Wellbeing or 1800 817 675 (free call). If you need to speak with a counsellor outside business hours you can call the University Crisis Line on 1300 511 709 or text on +61 488 884 168.
- Staff and family members can access a free and confidential counselling service via the University Employee Assistance Program on 1800 650 204.

If you have experienced sexual assault or sexual harassment, support and assistance is available to you.
