Regenerative Wool Systems

Australia is one of the world’s largest producers of wool and Tasmania contributes to this, growing some of the finest quality wool in the world.

The industry is currently undergoing a period of growth and development with an imperative focus on environment concerns, where farmers are at the front line of climate change.

This project captures the work of third year Bachelor of Design students as they explore the wool system of Tasmania asking what could a regenerative system for wool look like?

This project has been developed in collaboration with Rina Bernabei, and Waverley Mills: Australia’s oldest working textile mill, located in Launceston.
