The Bachelor of Business is built around fostering entrepreneurial thinking, analytical skills and innovation, so you’ll graduate with a real edge in your chosen industry and knowledge that doesn’t expire.
Core units in topics such as data analysis, entrepreneurship, corporate law, strategy, and social responsibility provide you with the underpinning principles of business and help develop general workplace skills.
You'll then choose a business major to specialise in your studies. In the elective space of your degree, you can select individual units that interest you from across the University. Alternatively, you can use this space to study a second business major or another major from a different area, broadening your knowledge and developing complementary skills to support your future career.

Our island campus of Tasmania is the start of your journey. The Media School is uniquely co-located with leading media organisations in Hobart. You will bump shoulders and share facilities with practitioners from the news, communication and the screen industries. Outside, you're a short walk from Parliament House, the courts, museums, galleries and performance spaces, and Hobart's docks, which are the world's scientific gateway to Antarctica.
This major is tailored for students curious about media from a cultural and sociological perspective. Who are the content makers and who are the audiences? Who are the influencers and how are do we understand their influence? Students will learn skills in media analysis and develop their skills in research and professional writing.
