This brand-new scholarship package combines the 25% Tasmanian International Scholarship with an additional 10% early acceptance scholarship for eligible students who meet the academic criteria and accept by the deadline. This means the scholarship package covers a total of 35% of registered tuition fees for the duration of study up to a maximum of four years, with a value of up to $26,000 for postgraduate students and $53,000 for undergraduate students*.
Applicants must have an offer for an eligible course commencing in 2025, meet the academic criteria for the Tasmanian International Scholarship and either be a citizen of an eligible country listed below, or a student residing onshore in Australia at the time of applying for their student visa.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be classified as an International Student as defined under the Application rules of the University of Tasmania.
- Be a citizen of Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, or Vietnam, or a student residing onshore in Australia at the time of applying for their student visa.
- Must be enrolled full-time in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree (see terms and conditions below)
- Meet the eligibility and minimum academic requirements for the Tasmanian International Scholarship
- Not be a student from a Transnational Education (TNE) partner affiliated with the University of Tasmania.
- Not be in receipt of any other University of Tasmania scholarship or any external sponsorship.
- Not be commencing at the University of Tasmania through an articulation agreement with a partner institution.
- Be commencing the first year of their program in 2025.
- Accept your offer on or after 14th October 2024 and before the scholarship deadline specified in your offer letter.

Apply
Students are assessed automatically upon submission of their International Student Application so there is no need to apply separately. Offer letters will notify applicants if they have been awarded the scholarship.

This scholarship package can only be offered in conjunction with the English Language Package and cannot be given in addition to any other University of Tasmania scholarship.
To be assessed for the Early Acceptance Scholarship eligibility you first need to apply to study at the University of Tasmania. A separate scholarship application is not required for bachelor or coursework master degree programs.
Study Abroad and Exchange international students undertaking short-term academic studies for a 6 or 12 month period at the University are not eligible to receive any international student scholarship or bursary.
