Partnerships

The University of Tasmania fosters a culture dedicated to delivering high quality world-class research, teaching and learning contributing to the needs of Tasmanian, national and international communities, underpinned by the responsible and ethical conduct of all those engaged and/or supporting this activity.

The University of Tasmania partners with a range of organisations and institutions around the world. The University’s decisions about who we partner with and what we partner on are governed through our governance instruments (including policies and procedures) and national codes such as the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. Together, these instruments enable the University to:

  • Align decision making with our mission, strategy and values
  • Uphold the principles of Academic Freedom and Free Speech
  • Support our commitment to sustainability, development and environmental goals
  • Manage potential conflicts of interest
  • Mitigate against undue influence on research, teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Uphold and mitigate against breaches of human rights

Our partnership activity is regularly reviewed and scrutinised through relevant due diligence.

The University makes public information about our research partnerships and innovation and related matters including how ethics and integrity are supported through separate dedicated services.

The University has agreements supporting a range of teaching and learning and student mobility programs and partnerships. Further information can be found through Educational Partnerships.
