This internship can be undertaken by any bachelor's degree level student with available electives.
During the program, you'll work part-time in a public sector agency, NGO, or Local Government Authority, where you'll undertake a research-oriented report.
This program provides a comprehensive introduction to the public sector and is a valuable opportunity if you're looking to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience. If you're seeking a confident start in the public sector, the Public Policy Internship program is the ideal choice for you.
The internship duration is 12-13 weeks (one semester), and students typically spend a day a week at their placement. Previous interns have worked at the Department of State Growth, the Department of Natural Resources and Energy, WalkFree, and the Human Rights Commission.
This internship requires a partnership between the University and the placement agency. If you're eligible and want to undertake the Public Policy Internship, contact the School of Social Sciences via email to register your Expression of Interest.
